Welcome to the Habits of Mind Learning Community

The Habits of Mind Learning Community is a place for you to Think Interdependently - a place for you to meet, share, collaborate and learn with other teachers working with the Habits of Mind.

To access this learning community you need to create a new log in that is specific to this section of the Habits of Mind Teachers Network Site. If you haven't already done this, click on "Sign Up" to the right of this text.

If you haven't already done so, you could take a guided tour of the features of our learning community here.

Make the Most of the Habits of Mind Learning Community

Here are some of the ways you can participate in your Learning Community.

Join Groups

Each group allows you to post items for discussion, share resources, write on the group wall and to interact with other teachers in the group. You are able to send messages to individuals in the group, or ask a question of the entire group. It is a fantastic networking tool.

Photos and Videos

Add photo's of your own classroom or activities that relate to the Habits of Mind. You can also add video that might highlight a particular Habit of Mind.

Develop Your Profile and Let Others Know About You.

By clicking on "My Page" you can add details about yourself, develop your own blog, modify your Community settings and much more. By going to "Who's a Member" you can also see other peoples personal pages and make connections by contacting them directly.

Chat Live with Other Teachers

At the very bottom of your browser window is a pop up Chat feature that you can use to chat to other teachers that are online at the same time as you.

Virtual Classrooms

The virtual classrooms are private spaces for teachers enrolled in one or more of the Online Courses. They provide opportunity to discuss the learning, raise questions and collaborate with others in the course. The virtual classrooms also have special posts and resources relevant to the topics being covered.
